Choosing where to be picked up
The best pickup point isn't always the nearest one. If you're flying in, the decision rests on available flights rather than on the map: Strasbourg-Entzheim is closest at 58 km, but EuroAirport serves far more destinations for an extra twenty-five minutes on the road. Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden sits in between, with one practical advantage — it's already on the German side of the Rhine, so there's no border on the way. And if you're staying in Rust or at a park hotel, local journeys run at the minimum fare.
What the price covers
Every fare is fixed and quoted before you book: it doesn't move with the time of day, the amount of luggage, or the traffic. It includes VAT and covers the vehicle, not each passenger — with four of you, that changes the comparison against a train or bus ticket entirely. A same-day return gets a combined rate, because the driver makes one empty leg instead of two. There are no tolls on the route, on either side of the border.
