How to reach Europa-Park: train, bus, car, private transfer. Journey times, real costs and the pitfalls worth knowing.
Which way to travel
There is no universal answer, and that is exactly what these guides try to settle case by case. The train works well on the way out, but the station is five kilometres from the park and the last return leaves early. Seasonal buses are cheap and serve Strasbourg and Sélestat, but they don't run all year and stop before closing time. A car settles the timing question and raises the ones about parking and driving after a full day of rides. A private transfer costs more for one or two people, and closes the gap as soon as there are four of you — especially on the way back.
Where the figures in these guides come from
Distances and journey times are calculated on the actual road route, excluding traffic, and have been checked by a second independent calculation: neither estimated nor copied from another site. Prices are fixed fares derived from those same distances, quoted before you book. Public transport fares we quote are dated, because they change: check them with the operator before you travel. And when a fact doesn't survive verification, it gets removed rather than rounded.
